Their Story

Roshan proposed to Sarah on the Galle Fort ramparts at sunset, so it was only right that they married within sight of that same lighthouse — the one that had watched over their story from the beginning.

With Sarah flying in from London and most of the international guests arriving from three continents, Araliya Events managed every logistic from airport transfers to final-night bonfire arrangements. The ceremony took place on the clifftop lawn as the Indian Ocean turned gold below.

White garden roses, eucalyptus, and trailing jasmine softened the colonial architecture. A string quartet played as guests were seated. One hundred and eighty people, a perfect evening breeze, and a couple who couldn't stop smiling.
